Ke-Bot has undertaken a process of innovation from start to finish and brought great innovation to the industry, receiving the 2020 HONORABLE MENTION award at the 2020 European Product Design Awards (EPDA). The competition, founded by the coordinator of the IDA (International Design Awards), was held this year for the 4th time to introduce successful designers to the European world of design. Products that improve daily life with well-thought-out functional designs were evaluated in the framework of strategic thinking and creativity. The Ke-Bot Hair Counting and Analysis Robot developed for Asmed have hasmanifested itself among hundreds of designs in this assessment.
2020 European Product Design Award to Ke-Bot
If we summarize the product journey that extends to the award on the axis of research, projecting and results; our point of origin in the design research of this project is the reality that the success of hair analysis methods is completely proportional to the doctor’s experience. Our point is the determination of the need for a system where we can get a concrete and reliable data output in the focus of operational planning and subsequent measurement of success. The project process began with the prediction of robot construction capable of scanning the human head 360 degrees and doing accurate analysis and counting. Design processes are shaped in parallel with the development of software that includes deep learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, and image processing technologies. As a result of all these industrial product design processes with technological fiction, a product that reduces the 15-hour operation to 45 minutes has been obtained.
